Have you ever just had a feeling that wouldn't seem to go away? You know you can't do anything about it, but you just can't get over it? That's where I'm stuck now. I can't do anything about it and I can't change the situation, it won't come out the way I want it to. Does it still hurt to hope it will? To hope that when it's all done and over you hopes wouldn't have failed you but instead come true. Maybe i'm hoping for to much I don't know, but I do know that i have one hope that i'm hoping will come true.

5:04 in the morning
It's 5:04 in the morning and i'm up. I've been up since about 4:20. It started with a call I missed on Skype. Heather woke me up and I returned it. Ever since I've been talking to so many people. It's nice because i'm up and the sun is now starting to rise. Well it started coming up around 4:45. It's weird looking at the sky here sometimes. On the way to the zoo when you looked out it was all covered in what seemed to be smoke. That wasn't just an illusion. That really is how bad the pollution is here. We take things for such granted at home. Life here is so bad. Coming to a new country, well a country thats not well off gives you a new perspective. I'm not saying I don't take things for granted, I know I do. I'm not saying once i'm at home I won't go back to taking things for granted I know I will.

Aunt Stephie!
Sorry, that had to be my title because I was so excited!
To explain to people who are confused my aunt stephie commented my last post and I got so excited! My papa (dad) was like what?! I said "AUNT STEPHIE COMMENTED ME!" lol okay to calm the excitment down now.
I just figured out a technology problem my dad couldn't . For those of you who know my papa is the tech guy in the family. You call him and normally he can tell you how to fix it over the phone. So this is also exciting!
Today has been an interesting day. Paperwork paperwork and more paperwork. It didn't take that long but it was extremely boring. So what did I do? What I always do I turned to music to pass the time. Man did it help. Now it's 12:40 p.m. meaning 12:40 a.m. for those of you at home. Don't know what were going to do for the rest of the day. Hopefully some shoping.
Oh! Did I mention we got moved to a suite? Yes, we did! They don't turn the air conditioning on here til about June and we were dying so they moved us to a suite where it's cooler.
At 2:30 a.m. I got up and did homework. I couldn't sleep and I had been up for awhile, so I got up to do some much needed homework. Yes, kill me now I did homework on a vacation. I finished almost all of my poetry anthology except for a few questions, and most of my math! Thank god for Mr. Morrow. Instead of giving me Trig he gave me simple Algebra!
So this post is constantly jumping around. At least it is a post nontheless. So I came with $120 dollars. I exchanged only $100 of it and I got $675 chinese money! It was like $$ signs in my eyes. I'm like floating in cash. They're three people I have to get things for sure.
We went to this bakery and i got this random bread thing. It smelled so good and had walnut on the top. Well I'm eating it now and boy is my stomach happy! It has blueberry filling. It's like a doughnut. I think we should go buy more! IT IS SOOOO GOOD! I just ended it's life by eating it. Yes, I shared, most i ate most of it myself.
I'm going to go now before I start telling you about what I ate for breakfast. Well actually, the tea I had with breakfast was really good. I should have been cut off I think I had six to eight cups or more. I didn't keep track. Ok i'm cutting myself off from blogging right now.
Good Bye for now from Hefei!

Updating at the expense of Keira.. lol
Hello from Hefei!
That is the city I am currently in, Anhui is the provence I am in! Wow, it's exciting to be here. After I was on a plane all day yesterday and some this morning. Don't get me wrong, we spent the night in a hotel in Beijing last night because there wasn't another connecting flight til this morning. Oh Boy! Do I have so many stories to share with you!
First, my dad (papa) was quarantined in Japan for a half an hour! On the plane we were almost there they said when we get there do not unbuckle the Japanese government will be coming aboard. That automatically says woah somethings going on. When they got on board they were in scrubs, goggles, masks, and gloves. They looked like we had a virus that would kill them upon breath or contact. Then they had this Camera/ Thermal Imager. Those things are ugly and huge. They were walking around and sometimes would take a picture with it. Well then they came back and were putting stickers on some people like little red dots on there hands. Well my dad got one and had to stay. So we got off and went to find our next plane. We had to go even if he had to stay, he would find a way there we had faith. Well then while we were waiting for our next flight we saw him get off. In turns out that the guy a few rows over and in front of us was sick, so anyone in a 3 seat radius got stickered and had to stay. It was interesting. Then in china we had to fill out the same forms. Fortunately, we didn't have to stay on the plane. The fourteen hour flight from Detroit to Tokyo, then the four hour flight from Tokyo to Beijing was enough. We went through customs, then baggage claim, then finally found our guide! After we went to our hotel and chilled for the rest of the night. When we got to the hotel heather and my dads friend Dennis came with caffeine! We asked him what Hai Guan meant, because acer always says it when he's playing. It means customs so we burst out laughing! According to my dad and Heather I slept soundly through the night once I fell asleep. Except for when i randomly said "He's just ten feet away!" I do not remember what my dream was about but that's enough.
We are finally in Hefei where we will be staying for a week! Then after Hefei Guanzhou here we come! Its really warm here. Its different, a lot different, The only way I can explain it is think about China Town in NY. Now expand it by a whole country and EVERYTHING is in Chinese. That's the only way to put some grasp on it. As it is One P.M. sunday afternoon here it is One A.M. sunday morning there and most of you are probably tucked into your beds sleeping. At least you better be!
My stomach is starting to hurt, and if anyone knows why it's not fun. Trust me. It sucks majorly. I'm so sick of planes. I'm glad that they won't be necessary for awhile. I will post more later.
Talk to you soon,
Alexandra

Today Is one of the biggest...
Today is the day I leave for china. The one question i've been constantly asked is "Are you excited?" Well I guess I am. I don't think it has really hit me that I'm going, or i'm just that calm about it. I don't really know. I think i'm nervous for some reason about when I get back some people won't be around anymore. I know thats not true but or some reason thats what i'm thinking. I just talked to the concert choir! That was exciting! Well I should get ready to go to the airport.
Love you all and I will talk to you soon.
Alexandra
P.S. IF ANYONE GETS SWINE FLU WHILE I'M GONE THAT WILL BE THE LEAST OF YOUR PROBLEMS!!
